چکیده

We present a tomographic measurement of the cross-correlation between thermal Sunyaev-Zeldovich (tSZ) maps from ${\it Planck}$ and Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) weak galaxy lensing shears measured during first three years observations Dark Energy Survey (DES Y3). This correlation is sensitive to energy in baryons over wide redshift range, therefore powerful probe astrophysical feedback. detect at statistical significance $21\sigma$, highest date. examine tSZ for potential contaminants, including cosmic infrared background (CIB) radio sources, finding that CIB has substantial impact on our measurements must be taken into account analysis. use test different feedback models. In particular, we model using several pressure profile models calibrated against hydrodynamical simulations. Our analysis marginalises uncertainties, shear calibration biases, intrinsic alignment effects. also marginalise $\Omega_{\rm m}$ $\sigma_8$ or DES priors. find data prefers with low amplitude small scales, compatible scenario strong AGN ejection gas inner part halos. When more flexible profile, constraints are weaker, cannot discriminate baryonic prescriptions.

Dark Energy Constraints from Weak Lensing Cross-correlation Cosmography

We present a method to implement the idea of Jain & Taylor (2003) to constrain cosmological parameters with weak gravitational lensing. Photometric redshift information on foreground galaxies is used to produce templates of the mass structure at foreground slices zl, and the predicted distortion field is cross-correlated with the measured shapes of sources at redshift zs. The variation of the c...

Cobras/samba and Measurements of the Sunyaev-zeldovich Effect

The recently approved COBRAS/SAMBA cosmic microwave background (CMB) mission will also have a major impact on measurements of the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect. The frequency of three of the channels (150 GHz, 217 GHz, 353 GHz) are chosen to optimize measurements of the thermal and kinetic SZ effect mainly caused by hot gas in clusters of galaxies. Estimates of the number of detected clusters a...

Cosmology with Sunyaev-Zeldovich observations from space

In order to assess the potential of future microwave anisotropy space experiments for detecting clusters by their Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) thermal effect, we have simulated maps of the large scale distribution of their Compton parameter y and of the temperature anisotropy ∆T/T induced by their proper motion. Our model is based on a predicted distribution of clusters per unit of redshift and flux ...

Cluster temperature profiles and Sunyaev-Zeldovich observations

Galaxy clusters are not iso-thermal, and the radial temperature dependence will affect the cluster parameters derived through the observation of the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect. We show that the derived peculiar velocity will be systematically shifted by 10− 20%. For future all-sky surveys one cannot rely on the observationally expensive X-ray observations to remove this systematic error, but...
